“When my boyfriend, Alex, was home from college this summer, his folks went away for a few days and I stayed with him,” said Monika. “He bet me that he’d beat me if we played seven games of pool. He didn’t know that I’ve played pool with my dad–who’s won tons of tournaments–since, like, forever. I’ve hustled lots of guys over pool and taken their money. I knew I could beat Alex so I took his bet. But I wasn’t sure that I wanted to win.”
